FREE EYE CHECK UP CAMP At SONAPOTA, GORIA WEST BENGAL

KMWSC conducted free eye check up camp for urban poor people of Sonapota in collaboration with GKB Pvt. Ltd. Mrs. Arpita and other prominent eye specialist traveled all the way from Kolkata to Sonapota. There were 4 eye specialists from GKB optical    who did the check up for 70 patients male =23, Female= 47. Among them 33 will be provided free spectacles from GKB.

“Such initiatives are helpful for poor people who cannot afford expensive procedures and medicines.

‘The doctors at the camp assured me that I will be able to see properly,” said Narayan Chandra Dey, 60 yrs, a patient.

As it was a hot lengthy day the doctors and special guests were given refreshments and lunch packets as the patients continued to step into the Centre till 5:00pm.

The Councillor Of ward 5 was also present for the eye camp and for the inauguration of the electric connection that the centre just accomplished. Thus there was joy to have the electricity in the centre.
