Director, Sr. Monica is on a 3-days monitoring visit to Nawada, the source area of families migrating to brickfields of West Bengal in search of better earnings. On the first day, Sr. Monica and the Brickfield School project team, with the support of Ms. Archana Kumari, Assistant Programme Officer of Kasturba Gandhi Balika Vidyalaya (KGBV) Homes in Nawada District, mainstreamed 5 girls in the KGBV Home in Kauakole Block, up keeping the Organisation’s pledge to educate girls from the underprivileged migrant community. The effort has been immensely appreciated by the local print media Hindustan and Prabhat Khabor. Sister Monica conveyed her profuse thanks to Ms. Archana Kumari and the Head Master of the KGBV Sri Navin Kumar. Later, Sr. Monica interacted with a few children of the KGBV Home. She also met the mothers of the 5 girls and explained to them, the importance of education to shape lives of their daughters.
