On 25th May 2026, the Brickfield School (BFS) Project team at Nawada achieved another important milestone by successfully mainstreaming four girls into Class VI at the Kasturba Gandhi Balika Vidyalaya (KGBV) residential home in Warsaligunj, Nawada. The initiative marks a significant step towards ensuring continued education, safety, and long-term opportunities for girls from vulnerable and marginalised backgrounds.
For many children from migrant and economically challenged families, access to uninterrupted education remains uncertain due to social and financial barriers. Through consistent follow-up, motivation, and support from the BFS Project team, these girls are now able to continue their education in a safe residential learning environment that can nurture their academic growth and overall development.
In addition to the four admissions, the names of three more girls have already been registered, and they are expected to begin their admission process after the summer vacation. This reflects the growing trust of families in the importance of education for girls and their willingness to support their daughters’ future aspirations.
The transition of these girls into formal residential education is not only an educational achievement but also a step towards greater protection, confidence, and empowerment. It strengthens the vision of creating pathways where girls can dream beyond limitations and build brighter futures through learning.
The continued efforts of the BFS Project team reaffirm the commitment of KMWSC towards ensuring that every child, especially girls from vulnerable communities, receives the opportunity to learn, grow, and thrive with dignity.
“Every admission opens a new doorway to hope, dignity, and a brighter future.”
