Silver Lining Project

Bringing Hope Where It’s Needed Most

With every challenge comes the chance to create change. The Silver Lining Project is Kolkata Mary Ward Social Centre’s an initiative, launched on 1st July 2025, to reach and uplift some of the most vulnerable groups in society — children, women, persons with disabilities (PWDs), and youth.

Rooted in compassion and guided by inclusion, the project is being implemented in Baruipur Block of South 24 Parganas. Our interventions will focus on building safe, supportive, and opportunity-filled environments across the following villages:

  • Rajgora and Go-Choron (Shankarpur II Gram Panchayat)
  • Kopindopur and Katapukur (Madharhat Gram Panchayat)
  • Madhabpur and Dedagi (Begumpur Gram Panchayat)
  • Himchi (Nabagram Gram Panchayat)

Through direct community engagement and strategic collaboration with local stakeholders, the Silver Lining Project aims to address critical issues faced by these groups — ranging from access to education and healthcare, to inclusion, empowerment, and protection.

This project is not just a programme; it is a promise — to stand beside those often left behind, and to walk with them toward a future filled with dignity, equity and hope.

As we embark on this new journey, we look forward to meaningful partnerships and deep-rooted transformation across these communities. Together, we can be the silver lining in someone’s darkest cloud.
