SCAR – Sensitization of Communities and Adolescents at Risk : To combat Human Trafficking and Child Abuse

The Project SCAR – Sensitization of Communities and Adolescents at Risk, is being implemented at India-Bangladesh border in 10 villages under 3 Gram Panchayats. (GP). This includes –
GP – Sayasta Nagar
Villages- Sofirabad,Jaynagar,SayastaNagar
GP – Koujhuri
Villages – Koijhuri, Dobila, Gabodda, Bhaduria
GP – Gokulpur
Villages – ChotoAkra, Baro Akra, Goaldaha.
The Project is addressing Trafficking issues in the Trafficking transit point that is Basirhat. Its main focus is to combat Trafficking in the India-Bangladesh border area. With the Child Parliament and community vigilance, community members are creating a Safety-Net to not just combat trafficking but also to create awareness on Child Protection issues, Child Abuse, Child Rights, etc. The Project is closely working with the local stakeholders like the local administrators and Border Security Force.
