From April 2023, KMWSC launched a new project named I.D.E.N.T.T.T.Y, which is an acronym for INVOLVEMENT DEVELOPMENT AND EMPOWERMENT OF IN NEED INDIVIDUALS THROUGH YOU. The project aims at providing age appropriate education to dropout and out of school children working as child labour and living at the slum in Hastings. After providing education at the learning centre setup within the slum, the children will be subsequently mainstreamed in government schools in classes appropriate to their age. Additionally, the project also aims at assisting parents of the children to obtain citizenship identity cards (AADHAR Cards) and bring them under various government schemes designed for the benefit of economically marginalised families. Providing preventive health care services to the slum dwellers is another important part of the project, besides making them aware about the importance of education and other socially relevant issues.
