This is a unique programme of KMWSC in partnership with John Scottus Senior School – Ireland. The project contributes in enhancing rural education in West Bengal and includes working with the teachers and children of 10 Sishu Shiksha Kendra’s, (primary school level) 10 Madhyamik Siksha Kendra’s (High School/Higher Secondary) schools from the year 2012.
Identifying the needs of the teachers and children and providing them with innovative teaching learning methodologies, activity based child centric techniques has been the priority of the programme.
Besides the above, enhancing the teaching of English Language has been another aim of the programme which was carried out by the transition year students of the John Scottus School in February 2014.
The Irish school has also generously contributed by the construction of extra classrooms in the 24 upper primary schools in West Bengal in the last 15 years of their collaboration. This has given the children a better ambience and space.
