Under the Child Rights Project, KMWSC team distributed relief kits to 𝟯𝟬𝟬 𝗽𝗼𝗼𝗿 𝗳𝗮𝗺𝗶𝗹𝗶𝗲𝘀 from 20 villages in 4 centers at 𝑩𝒂𝒔𝒊𝒓𝒉𝒂𝒕 𝑩𝒍𝒐𝒄𝒌 1. Each kit contained packets of rice, pulses, wheat flour , turmeric and red chilly powder, soap, salt, sanitizer and cooking oil. The staffs wore PPE suits while the distribution was going on maintaining all government guidelines. The temperature of all the beneficiaries and staffs were thoroughly screened and checked up, before the distribution event with the help of thermal scanner. The panchayat pradhans and the upopradhans were available for the distribution. Some of the PRI members and volunteers helped us in distributing relief kits to the beneficiaries. In order to avoid a large gathering four centers were selected for the distributions. The team helped 60 distressed families each in two centres and 90 families each in other two centres. The team wore the PPE kits while distribution in order to keep the safety mechanism. We are deeply grateful to Responsenet for providing food assistance to distressed people from Basirhat which is declared a containment zone. KMWSC also thank the panchayat prodhans, upopradhans and the panchayat volunteers for helping in distribution of the relief food kits to 300 families in Basirhat.
