The children celebrated the โIndian Independence Dayโ with great enthusiasm. There were altogether 40 participants (male- 16 and female- 24). Honorable Mr. Shailaja Panigrahi the Head teacher of SSK school presided over the function and hoisted the National flag. The National anthem was sung by all the children. The importance of the day was explained by the head teacher. At the end, the Field in charge gave a speech reminding the students and the teachers of the sacrifices made by our great freedom fighters and made us take pledge that we would serve our motherland, India with heart, body and soul to bring it glory and laurels with our dignified deeds. The program was later followed by snacks and sweets distribution to the children.
