Anti-human trafficking project of Canning celebrated Women's Day. The day was celebrated with the simplicity of the villagers . The women of the village gathered together to watch and witness that women are Honorable and they ask nothing but honor. Dances depicted their beauty and rhythm. Women leaders spoke for their honor and how to protect it. School masters promised to teach the boy students to honor the girl students. Childline stressed that in respecting women is the formation of a strong nation. Gram panchayat leaders promised to protect honor of women and celebrate women. A women representative from the community thanked Sr. Monica Suchiang for her initiative in their village to strengthen the women and girls through Anti Human Trafficking initiatives. The school room was decorated and films on Women rights were shown. One girl shared how she stopped her friend from being trafficked.
