Strengthening Community Health and Child Protection through Collaboration

On 25th October 2025, the Surokhit Shaishav Project team actively participated in Fourth Saturday Gram Panchayat Meetings held at Sangrampur Shibhati GP and Gachha Akharpur Gram Panchayet.. At both places, the sessions were attended by key stakeholders including the Panchayat Chief, Community Health Officer (CHO), ASHA workers, 1st and 2nd ANMs, and other Panchayat members, creating a platform for meaningful dialogue and joint action.

The meetings served as a vital space to discuss and review the current health and child protection status of the village. Deliberations focused on the situation of malnourished children, ongoing cases of malaria and dengue, and the necessary preventive measures to safeguard community health. Special attention was given to the rehabilitation and support mechanisms for child marriage survivors, ensuring their reintegration through linkage with existing government schemes and welfare services.

The Surokhit Shaishav team highlighted the importance of collective vigilance and timely interventions in addressing child rights violations and promoting health awareness at the grassroots level. The discussions also underlined the role of inter-departmental cooperation in building a safer, healthier, and more informed community.

Meetings like these reaffirm the shared responsibility of local governance bodies, health departments, and NGOs in creating sustainable impact — one village at a time.
