School Awareness Programme at Mamudpur F.P. School

On 19th August 2025, the Naya Disha Project team conducted a comprehensive School Awareness Programme at Mamudpur F.P. School, in close collaboration with the Headmaster, four assistant teachers, and an enthusiastic group of 53 students. The programme was designed to educate children on essential life skills and safety measures while fostering a strong foundation of awareness and protection.

The session covered a wide spectrum of topics aimed at empowering students with knowledge that safeguards their well-being. Discussions included the importance of health and hygiene, with practical tips on maintaining cleanliness and building positive daily habits. Students also learned to distinguish between healthy and unhealthy food practices, helping them make better lifestyle choices.

Moving deeper into rights-based education, the team sensitised the children about fundamental human rights, the basic pillars of child rights, and the importance of child protection. Special emphasis was placed on the concepts of safe and unsafe touch, delivered in an age-appropriate and sensitive manner to ensure clarity and comfort among the young participants.

To further strengthen their preparedness, children were introduced to emergency helpline numbers, ensuring that they know where to turn in times of distress or need. These practical tools instilled confidence while promoting self-protection.

The programme not only informed but also inspired — creating a sense of responsibility among students to care for themselves and support one another. Teachers actively engaged in the session, reinforcing the collective role of the school community in safeguarding children’s rights and dignity.

Through such initiatives, KMWSC continues to reaffirm its commitment to nurturing a safer and more informed generation.
