On 25th November 2024, a significant milestone was achieved in advancing child safety with the reformation and strengthening of Village Level Child Protection Committees (VLCPCs) in six villages of Basirhat-I Block, North 24 Parganas district. The initiative brought together key stakeholders, including the Gram Panchayat Pradhan, Upo-Pradhan, and Sangsad members, for a collaborative session.The program emphasised enhancing the roles and responsibilities of VLCPC members, providing them with essential knowledge and tools to effectively address child protection concerns. This initiative under the Surakshit Saisav project reinforces KMWSC’s dedication to safeguarding children, ensuring their well-being, and fostering an environment where they can thrive safely and confidently.
