KMWSC arranged food relief for a large number of migrant labourers who were stranded in the lockdown. 132 migrant families were provided ration packets with the help of BFS leading teachers and some local teachers from Kalyani who purchased, segregated packages and distributed these ration packets consisting of basic food items like rice, potatoes, dal ( lentils), nutrella soyabeans and salt packets for food distribution to each migrant families. These are migrant labourers of the brick fields from the location Majher Char in Kalyani. The BFS teachers carried on with the ration distribution based on the guidelines from Police and with the permission from the local administrative.
