Raksha Bandhan, a festival that celebrates love, protection, and the strengthening of bonds, took on a deeper meaning this year in Baruipur under the Silver Lining Project. The celebration was dedicated to empowering and protecting vulnerable individuals — especially young girls — by fostering a sense of safety, belonging, and community solidarity.

On the day of the event, vibrant community gatherings were held where children, youth, and members of the Community Vigilance Committees came together to exchange Rakhis as a symbol of mutual care and responsibility.
