Empowering Adolescents and Women under the Tribal Community Development and Empowerment Project.

On 5th December 2024, a comprehensive awareness session on menstrual health, hygiene, and the use of sanitary pads was conducted under the Tribal Community Development and Empowerment Project. This impactful initiative reached adolescents at Sridham High School and women from the Gangasagar fishermen community.   The session focused on breaking taboos surrounding menstruation, educating participants about maintaining hygiene during menstruation, and promoting the use of sanitary pads for better health. By addressing common misconceptions and providing accurate information, the program empowered women and adolescents to prioritize their well-being and make informed choices.   Such efforts play a vital role in fostering a more aware and healthier community, contributing to the project's broader goal of community development and empowerment.
