Kolkata Mary Ward Social Center relief team along with the director, Sr. Monica, Sr. Christine the principal of Loreto College, Sr. Agnes and Sr. Jeraldin marched towards Lodha Community at Gangasagar Island, Sundarban with cyclone relief materials on 19th June 2020. The relief materials were arranged for each 30 family of Lodha community (the family comprises of 5 members each in one house- 30x5= 150 members ) in a distance. The relief materials included: Blanket-2 each, Saree-2 each, Tarpaulin-1 each, Lungi- 2 each, boys’ garment-2 each, girls garments-2 each, leggings & Kurti-2 each, Pijama’s sets 2 each, Frying pan- 1 each, rice cooking utensils- 1 each, ladle- 1 each, jug-1 each, plates-1 each, Glass-1, biscuit-1 each, mosquito net-1 each, bed sheet- 1 each, puffed rice packets- 1 each for 30 families. The nutritious snacks Mom Poha, Amla Bar, Choco bar and cookies were also given to 35 children of Lodha families.
