The Child Friendly space of Loreto- Kolkata Mary Ward Social Centre was inaugurated at the Canning Womens Police station on 15th November 2018 . The Police Station has designated a place for the Child Friendly corner and the Kolkata Mary Ward Social Centre has taken up the responsibility to set it up and give it the the Women Police Station . However KMWSC will be responsible for the upkeep and maintenance for it to look child friendly . KMWSC always upholds the cause of the children and their rights . The Children must be protected and prevented from abuse and trafficking . The Child Friendly corner gives them the right to express , explore and come and find a friendly atmosphere . KMWSC Director Sister Monica Suchaing graced the occasion with a prayer for blessings with Officer In Charge Smt Munmun Chowdhury and Police officials . Loreto has been in the field of education for 175 years where children had been empowered through education. KMWSC is the social wing of Loreto that is actively involved in empowering the vulnerable
