Government Networking Meeting – Lotus Child Project

The community leaders of Chaulgola were invited at the Community centre to discuss about the project activities and their cooperation in achieving the objectives of the project. Three community leaders were present in the meeting including the village member and the staff. After a short introductory conversation the following issues were discussed Matters discussed: 

• The mainstreaming of the children to the government schools must be taken seriously not only by us but also by the community leaders.
• The women as are not very interested in attending the education classes so they are introduced to vocational training as they are very much in need of income generating means.
• The concern about the adolescents as they often get strayed away at this juncture in their life. Thus they are given life skill training.
• . The community leaders promised to support us in mobilizing the community.
• The leaders are ready to take the initiative in helping us to receive electricity connection at the centre. They also stressed on the maintenance of the building by repairing the roof as per requirements.
• The Pradhan and his members shared about the schemes with which they can help the children and the community.
