Owing to the nature of the daily income of the sex workers and with the lockdown stretching to the third phase, these sex workers hardly have any savings to help them get through this pandemic. Today KMWSC under the Red Light Project, distributed 9 kgs of rice, 3 kgs of dal ( lentils), 3 kgs of potatoes, 2 pieces of soaps and 1 ltr of cooking oil to 20 sex workers and their families who were on the verge of starvation, at Sonagachi.
