In a collaborative approach with GKB Opticals, an Eye Check-up Camp was conducted in Sonapota under Lotus Child Project. A total of 103 people from the community turned up to get their eyes examined. 14 of these people were detected to be suffering from Cataract and require surgical intervention. 67 people were identified to be suffering from refractive errors, who will be provided free spectacles from GKB in due course of time. KMWSC is looking for options to provide free cataract surgeries to the patients requiring surgical intervention.
