On 26th July 2024, students from the Tailoring and Fashion Designing course under our Skill Development Unit had the enriching opportunity to attend a fashion and lifestyle exhibition at Lake Town. This exposure visit was designed to broaden their understanding of the fashion industry, small startup business operations, and current market trends. During the visit, students explored various stalls and displays, gaining valuable insights into innovative designs, fabric choices, and the latest fashion trends. The exhibition also provided a practical perspective on how small businesses operate, from production processes to marketing strategies. Interacting with exhibitors and industry professionals, the students learned about the challenges and opportunities in starting a fashion business. They were inspired by the entrepreneurial spirit on display and received practical advice on how to turn their creative skills into viable business ventures. This exposure visit was a significant step in bridging the gap between classroom learning and real-world applications, empowering students with the knowledge and confidence to pursue their career aspirations in the fashion industry. We are committed to providing such opportunities to enhance the skill-sets and future prospects of our students.
