Exposure Visit for MIST and PEPVC Project Beneficiaries during Durga Puja

  • Kolkata - The City of Joy

On 8th October 2024, the project teams of MIST (Mothers In Sex Trade) and PEPVC (Providing Education and Protection to Vulnerable Children at Sonagachi) organised an exposure visit for children and mothers of Sonagachi during the Durga Puja festivities, the greatest festival in West Bengal. The visit provided a much-needed break from the daily challenges of life within the narrow lanes of the red-light area, offering a joyful day of celebration and cultural exploration. The initiative allowed the beneficiaries to experience the vibrancy of the festival while promoting emotional well-being and social engagement. This initiative reflects KMWSC's commitment to creating positive and enriching experiences for marginalised and vulnerable communities.
