On 19th November 2024, an exposure visit to Alipore Central Jail was organised for the adolescent group under the Kolkata Slum Project. This initiative, held in collaboration with the West Bengal Commission for Protection of Child Rights (WBCPCR), aimed to provide the participants with an insightful learning experience. The visit was designed to raise awareness about the sacrifices and hardships faced by our freedom fighters, many of whom were imprisoned at this Jail and many more who sacrificed their lives fighting for the freedom of their motherland. Such exposure visits are pivotal in shaping informed and empowered youth, aligning with KMWSC’s mission to nurture holistic development within the community.
