On 30th July 2024, World Day Against Trafficking in Person, children from the Tribal Community Development and Empowerment Project of KMWSC took a powerful stand at Gangasagar Island by organizing an awareness march. This event aimed to raise awareness about the grave issue of human trafficking, emphasizing the need for community vigilance and proactive measures to combat this crime. The children marched with determination, carrying banners and posters with messages highlighting the importance of protecting human rights and preventing trafficking. The march not only drew the attention of the local community but also sparked meaningful conversations about the dangers and signs of human trafficking. Through their participation, the children demonstrated their commitment to fostering a safer environment for everyone. This initiative is part of KMWSC's broader efforts to educate and empower tribal communities, ensuring they are informed and resilient against the threats of human trafficking. The awareness march at Gangasagar Island stands as a testament to the strength and unity of our young advocates in the fight against human trafficking.
