During this lock down, KMWSC stood beside the old couples from Gosaba, Sundarban and helped them by distributing the groceries, 6 kgs of rice, 1kg of dal, 2 kgs of potatoes, 1ltr cooking oil, 1 dettol soap to 15 families. These couples are old who have been abandoned by their children or their children are in the city who visit now and then. As most of them are stuck in the cities because of lock down these old people are all the more exposed to starvation. Many old couples depend on the river for their survival they catch fish and sell in the market and buy their daily needs. Everything is stopped now due to lock down. They are at the mercy of God for their survival of 21 days. Kmwsc thanks the area member of Bipradas Gram panchayat for helping the solar team to distribute the groceries to the most needy old couples of Gosaba, Sundarban
