Empowering Youth Through Awareness — Building Safe and Informed Futures
31 Oct 2025
Bankra Azizia Madrasha, Basirhat
On 31st October 2025, an awareness session was organised at Bankra Azizia Madrasha, Basirhat, under the LES Project on 31st October 2025, with the participation of 135 students. The session focused on key social and safety issues — Child Marriage, Human Trafficking, and Cyber Crime — aiming to inform and empower the young participants to make responsible and informed life choices.
Through engaging discussions and real-life examples, the facilitators shed light on how child marriage and trafficking violate basic human rights and the long-term consequences they can have on a child’s physical and emotional well-being. The session also emphasised the growing dangers of cybercrime, highlighting online safety measures and the importance of responsible digital behaviour.
Students were encouraged to raise questions, share their thoughts, and reflect on how awareness and vigilance can protect themselves and others from potential risks. The initiative helped strengthen their understanding of rights, safety, and self-protection, inspiring them to act as change makers within their communities.
Such sessions play a vital role in building an aware and resilient generation that can stand against exploitation and work toward a safer, more just society.
“Knowledge is protection — when children are aware, they become their own strongest shield.”
