Empowering Young Voices: Interactive Child Protection Workshop

On August 18, 2025, the Surokhit Shaishav team conducted a vital inter-school workshop, engaging enthusiastic students from Classes II, III, and IV at Amarkati FP School and Humayun Kabir FP School. The session was designed to empower young children with essential knowledge about their safety and rights in an engaging, age-appropriate manner.

Workshop Focus

Through interactive discussions and vivid pictorial presentations, our facilitators covered critical topics to build a foundation of safety and awareness:

• Health and Hygiene: Establishing daily practices for well-being.
• Pillars of Child Rights: Introducing children to their fundamental rights in a simple, relatable way.
• Safety Nets: Identifying trusted adults (parents, teachers, guardians) in their lives.
• Good & Bad Touch: Learning to recognise boundaries and differentiate between appropriate and inappropriate contact.
• Reporting Mechanisms: Empowering children with the knowledge of how to speak up and seek help if they ever feel uncomfortable or unsafe.

Impact & Feedback

The workshop's interactive and visual approach resonated deeply with the students, who participated with great interest and happiness. By transforming crucial lessons into an accessible and positive experience, we successfully equipped these young learners with the knowledge and confidence to better protect themselves and understand their rights.
