On 30th of January 2018 the staff of KMWSC commemorated Mary Ward's foundation day. Mary Ward the foundress of Institute of the Blessed Virgin Mary, Loreto (IBVM) was paid homage and honored by all KMWSC staff. Prayer service was led by Sr. Edelin with a short biography of Mary Ward. Each staff of KMWSC shared incidents, events of the life of Mary Ward from her child hood to her last breath. It was the moment of rejuvenating and reliving of Mary Ward imbibing her virtues and values peace, integrity, justice and freedom. The maxims of Mary Ward were read. “Women in time to come will do much”. “Be merry and doubt not our master”. “Do your best and God will help”. “Do good and do it well.” “If you show your service to anyone do it willingly”. “Be kind and merciful towards the poor and do not call them beggars.” The director shared the life sketch of Mary Ward in details. Every one thanked almighty god for the gift of Mary Ward to this world who stood firm, walked boldly with courage and simplicity to fight for peace, integrity, justice and freedom for each individual. On 19th December 2009, Pope Benedict XVI published a Decree recognizing the heroic virtue demonstrated by Mary Ward and thereby conferring on her the title ‘venerable’. Mary Ward’s foundation exists today worldwide under the names Congregation of Jesus and Institute of the Blessed Virgin Mary, Loreto. Her followers are ministering in forty four countries across five continents nurturing and planting the values of Peace, integrity, justice and freedom in the world today. The prayer service was ended with the quote of Mary Ward “You may never see the end results, but that is the difference between the master builder and the worker. We are workers, not master builders, ministers, not messiah. We are prophets of future not our own........
