Access to timely healthcare can make all the difference in the lives of vulnerable communities. With this in mind, the Naya Disha Project organised a health camp at Jonokolyan Club, 4 No. Sandelerbil, on 29th August 2026, bringing together survivor group members, Anganwadi Workers, and local community members for a day focused on health and wellbeing.
The medical team conducted basic health check-ups and consultations for all participants, offering personalised guidance on maintaining good health and recognising when timely medical care is needed. Based on individual health needs and medical advice, necessary medicines were also distributed to participants, ensuring that immediate concerns were addressed on the spot rather than left unattended.
In total, 110 patients were screened during the camp, reflecting strong community participation and trust in the initiative. Beyond the immediate medical support provided, the camp served as a valuable platform for raising health awareness within the community, encouraging participants to be more proactive about their own health and that of their families.
By bringing essential healthcare services directly to the community, the Naya Disha Project continues to bridge critical gaps in access, particularly for those who may otherwise face barriers in reaching medical facilities. Such initiatives reinforce the project's broader commitment to improving overall health outcomes and building healthier, more informed communities.
Through consistent engagement of this kind, KMWSC remains dedicated to ensuring that no community is left behind when it comes to basic healthcare access and awareness.
"Healthy communities begin with accessible care."
