On 24th May 2026, a meaningful session on life skills and mental health was conducted at Boinchtala, Dhapa under the Adolescent Girls Empowerment Programme. The initiative aimed to help adolescents develop practical life competencies while encouraging emotional wellbeing and positive thinking.
The life skills session focused on prioritising and planning for savings, encouraging participants to understand the importance of responsible financial habits from an early age. Through discussions and practical examples, the adolescents learned how careful planning and small savings can contribute towards greater independence, security, and future preparedness.
Alongside this, a mental health session on happiness and emotional wellbeing encouraged participants to reflect on their feelings, relationships, and daily experiences. Interactive discussions and activities created a safe and engaging environment where adolescents could openly express themselves, share thoughts, and understand the importance of maintaining a positive and balanced mind-set.
The sessions highlighted how financial awareness and mental wellbeing are both essential aspects of personal growth and decision-making. By combining these themes, the programme aimed to equip adolescents with the confidence and understanding needed to make informed life choices and navigate challenges more effectively.
The enthusiastic participation of the girls reflected their eagerness to learn and grow in a supportive environment. Such initiatives continue to play an important role in nurturing confident, informed, and emotionally resilient young individuals within the community.
“Empowered minds and healthy habits create brighter futures.”
