Barefoot Teachers Training

Barefoot has conducted its 1st training for the month of February from 12th February 2019 to 15th February 2019 with 20 participants from Sonapota, Chaulgola, Narendrapur, Nayabad,Chingrighata, Motijheel and other neighboring areas of Entally. The Resource person had advocated Level-II training to the participants. The first day of the training programme started with activities on Language development from Government based book of Class-IV. Activities like word meaning of difficult words make sentences, opposite words, jumble words and word search from stories and poem were the vital part of Language development. Participants were given training to prepare the teaching learning material based on the above activities. The second day of the training started with Mathematics where emphasis was given on fraction and time related math. Worksheets were distributed among the participants and the resource person guided the participants so that they can able to complete the work sheet with apt. Along with fraction and time sums, training was given on addition and subtractions with the help of dice. The third day of the training started with Environmental Study which includes history, geography and science. Different topic related to geography and sciences were discussed with the participants. Globe and map of West Bengal and India were used to help the participants understand about different district of West Bengal and the states of India. Not only that different Continents and Ocean were shown and demarcated with the help of globe. In Science parts of Plants, Human body and their relations were taught. The participants were imparted training on preparation of related teaching learning material. The fourth and the concluding day started with the revision of previous activities. Different old rhymes were revised and new rhymes were being trained to the participants. Micro classes were held to judge the capabilities and grasping power of the participants. The training ended with the certification ceremony. Sraboni Das from Nayabad Garia narrated she is proud that she has been inspired a lot by the methodologies of the training. Soma Hazra from Chingrighata expressed her positive feeling about the training by thanking the Director and both the resource person. Rebati paik from Chaulgola said that learning new activities through training will help them to enhance their capacity and knowledge to achieve the goal.
