Awareness Session at Sibhati High School

On 21st August 2025, the Surokhit Shaishav Project team, in collaboration with BN-102 Border Security Force, conducted a powerful awareness session at Sibhati High School with the participation of around 100 students from various classes. The programme was designed to educate and empower school children with knowledge on key issues that directly impact their safety, rights, and overall well-being.

The session highlighted critical themes including child rights, the importance of preventing child marriage, understanding cyber safety, and raising awareness on the dangers of child trafficking. These discussions were presented in an interactive and age-appropriate manner, encouraging students to think critically and engage meaningfully with the issues.

The active participation of both teachers and students added immense value to the programme. Teachers reinforced the messages, ensuring that the dialogue extended beyond the classroom setting. Students responded with enthusiasm, asking questions, sharing their views, and pledging to spread the awareness among their peers and families.

Such initiatives are especially significant in border areas, where children are often more vulnerable to risks like trafficking and exploitation. By working hand-in-hand with the Border Security Force, the session not only educated but also reassured children about the protection systems available to them.

The programme concluded with a collective understanding that awareness is the first step to prevention, and that children, when informed, become powerful advocates for their own safety and that of their communities.
