A Visit of Guidance, Reflection, and Inspiration: President’s Visit to KMWSC

Moments of guidance from leadership offer not just direction, but renewed purpose. On 10th August 2026, Monica Suchiang, President of Kolkata Mary Ward Social Centre (KMWSC), visited the organisation's office and was received with a warm welcome by the Director and staff.

The visit began with a brief preliminary interaction, followed by a presentation covering ongoing projects, upcoming initiatives, and KMWSC's networking endeavours with various funders in pursuit of new opportunities. Following the presentation, the President held a series of separate meetings – first with staff members, and subsequently with the Director and five Associate Directors – creating space for candid dialogue and reflection on the organisation's work and direction.

Later in the day, the President visited a field location of the Kiran Project, where she observed the progress of ongoing activities first-hand and engaged directly with field staff, beneficiaries, and their families. These grassroots interactions offered her a close, first-hand understanding of how KMWSC's programmes translate into real impact within the communities they serve.

Throughout the visit, the President's engagement reflected a deep commitment to understanding both the achievements and the challenges faced across KMWSC's work. Her valuable feedback, thoughtful suggestions, and keen insight are expected to guide the organisation as it continues to strengthen its programmes and refine its approach in the days ahead.
