KMWSC Cyclone Response Team had visited the area on 2nd of June, to meet and interact with the cyclone affected people in Sundarban. They visited 15 houses in two villages and distributed cyclone relief Tarpaulin, solar lantern lamps, clothes, biscuit packets, Colgate to the most affected families. While crossing the river, they saw that almost at each ghat children, women and old people were anxiously waiting for people to come and give them relief materials. It was a painful sight. They had left livestock and their mud houses before being shifted to relief camps but now nothing is left except for a collapsed wall with no roof. Their income generating means, their utensils and household things have been destroyed too. Dead cattle are still lying down in the debris. Many houses are also lying vacant as at any time these houses can collapse, the family members are staying in their neighbor's houses. The rising water and erosion will cause major problems in their rehabilitation and in rebuilding again and again in future too. 𝙏𝙝𝙚 𝙩𝙚𝙖𝙢 𝙤𝙛 𝙆𝙈𝙒𝙎𝘾 𝙖𝙡𝙨𝙤 𝙢𝙚𝙩 𝙛𝙚𝙬 𝙫𝙚𝙣𝙙𝙤𝙧𝙨 𝙛𝙤𝙧 𝙨𝙪𝙥𝙥𝙡𝙮 𝙤𝙛 𝙧𝙚𝙡𝙞𝙚𝙛 𝙢𝙖𝙩𝙚𝙧𝙞𝙖𝙡𝙨.
