KMWSC thanks GKB pvt. Ltd. CSR departments for distribution of spectacles in Multi Purpose Activity centre under Empowering Vulnerable Children Project.
An eye screening camp was organized from the 30th March and 10th April at Cossipore and Rajabagan MAC for community people in collaboration with GKB optical. There were around 150 people screened during the camp in both the MAC, out of which 77 children were suggested to get further evaluation for any eye aliment.
On the 1st and 5th June we distributed 77 spectacles free of cost to those community people in presence of representatives from GKB optical. Before the distribution of the spectacles, Mr. Avash from GKB gave information about the requirements of taking care of them and how important is its usage in daily life.
The community people were extremely happy to receive the spectacles for long- sightedness and short- sightedness.
