Kajal Bhuiya is the 14years old daughter of Ramatar Bhuiya and Chameli Devi. The family is a resident of Chitrakoli, a Small Village in Nawada District. Kajal’s parents were very poor due to which she could not study. But she had a great desire to study. In year 2017–18 Kajal and her Family come in A – 26 BFS in Akra at Maheshtala Block of South 24 Parganas, and was admitted to our BFS centre there. At that time, she was only 10 years old. The Brickfield Teachers found out her interest in studies and they convinced her Parent to allow Kajal continue her education and fulfill her quest for knowledge. In May 2018, BFS team visited Kajal’s village and prepared all documents from Rajauli Block Office needed of her admission. After obtaining the documents, the BFS team admitted the girl in KGBV (Kasturba Gandhi Balika Vidyalaya) Home at Rajauli Block of Nawada District in Bihar. The BFS team continuously monitored the progress of the girl in her studies. In the year 2021, Kajal Passed out of Class VIII from the KGBV Home. The home has facilities only from Class-VI to VIII. Due to the pandemic situation, our team was not able to travel to Nawada District. In June, Kajal called one of our BFS staff, seeking help for her admission in Class IX. The BFS staff immediately contacted the District Education Department of Nawada seeking information about availability of admission in class IX. Finally after several follow-ups over phone, Kajal was admitted in Class-IX at RAJAULI INTER VIDYALAYA, RAJAULI (NAWADA).
Kajal is very happy to join her new class in a new school. According to the girl, she can now fulfill her dream to complete Secondary School Education and move ahead to the next level of education.
