Child Rights Project field animators at Basirhat set up a Child Rights protection desk (CRPD) near Ghozadanga border. An awareness campaign was also conducted through toto( auto) over the micro phone in the villages of Gaccha G.P. and Akharpur G.P. It was conducted by CPW staffs through child friendly activities sharing emergency helpline numbers. The topics of the campaign were information on child rights, ban on child labour and covid 19 social distancing, incase of emergency helpline number was shared, Children's in distress number was shared by Caritas India, Mandatory of mask wearing while moving out of home, helping others to create awareness on covid 19 emergency response and the importance of handwash regularly, etc. was carried out in order to sensitize the community.
