Breaking the Silence, Building a Safer Space for Every Girl

India is a land of rich diversity; diverse in culture, tradition, and social practice. Yet amid this richness, deeply rooted misconceptions around menstruation continue to shape the everyday lives of countless girls and women. Too often, menstruation is treated as a taboo, hidden away in silence and shrouded in shame, leading to discrimination and restrictions that limit girls and women during a natural part of their lives.

The Landing Pad Project has been initiated to change this narrative. Through awareness sessions, open community dialogues, and direct engagement with girls, women, and their families, the project works to dismantle the myths and misconceptions that surround menstruation and to replace stigma with understanding. By ensuring access to accurate information and menstrual hygiene products, Landing Pad creates safe spaces where girls and women can speak about menstruation openly without fear, embarrassment, or judgement along with free distribution of sanitary pads, which are manufactured at the KMWSC-Sanitary Pad Unit maintaining proper hygiene.

At its core, the project is about more than awareness; it is about dignity. By fostering a positive, informed attitude towards menstruation within communities, Landing Pad is helping build a future where no girl is held back, silenced, or shamed simply for a natural biological process.
