Kolkata Mary Ward Social Centre is celebrating its 5th Anniversary on the 10th of August 2019 completing its journey from 2014-2019. In these 5 years KMWSC has been able to cover the following thematic area of intervention • Women and child protection and development • Education and health • Community Development, Livelihood and Skill Development Today with 3 thematic areas though 11 projects covers 5 districts of West Bengal and 1 district in Bihar (Nawada). These projects has a direct reach of 82000 vulnerable women and children KMWSC which has impacted in sustainable protection of children at risk of trafficking, women can now live and decide since they are equal contributors to family income after being trained in skills. Communities who had no identity as a people or individually now boast of personal government identification documents in Lodha community of Gangasagar. Right to education is no more a dream for the children of the migrant labourers who work in the 59 brick kilns in west Bengal through Brick field school Project.
