The Staff Christmas Celebration 2025 was joyfully observed at KMWSC on 20 December 2025, bringing together field staff and team members from various projects for a day of fellowship, gratitude, and festive cheer. The programme was organised as a heartfelt acknowledgement of the field staff, whose daily presence in communities, commitment to service, and tireless efforts form the foundation of the organisation’s work.
The celebration began with a candle lighting ceremony led by the Secretary Sr. Monica Rozario, accompanied by a prayer song that set a reflective and peaceful tone for the day. This was followed by a warm welcome address and a vibrant welcome dance, creating an atmosphere of joy and togetherness. Sr. Rozario addressed the gathering, highlighting the invaluable role of field staff as frontline change-makers and encouraging them to continue their service with hope and compassion.
A key highlight of the programme was the cultural segment, where field teams from different projects – including the Red Light Area Team, BFS teams from multiple locations, the Lotus Team, and the CR Team – presented lively dance performances. Each presentation reflected not only creativity and enthusiasm but also the unity and collective spirit nurtured through their work in challenging field contexts.
Interactive games added energy and laughter to the celebration, strengthening bonds among colleagues. The entry of Santa Claus brought a moment of surprise and delight, as staff joined in singing and dancing, capturing the true joy of the season. The gift distribution that followed symbolised appreciation for the sincere contributions of the field staff and reinforced the message of sharing and gratitude.
Sr. Monica Suchiang, our Provincial and President of KMWSC, in her short visit personally wished the dedicated staff a blessed Christmas and a grace-filled New Year. She mentioned that their quiet commitment, hard work, and compassion continue to make a meaningful difference in the lives of many.
The programme concluded with a vote of thanks from the Director Sr. Bivina Lepcha, recognising the efforts of the organising team and the wholehearted participation of all staff members. A fellowship lunch marked the close of the celebration, leaving participants with renewed motivation and a deeper sense of belonging.
“Honouring the hands that serve, celebrating the hearts that care.”
