Saint Ignatius’s College Riverview, Australia visits Kolkata Mary Ward Social Centre on 1st January 2019 and 3rd January 2019. They visited the Redlight Area Project and the Brick Field School Project(BFSP) area at Basirhat , North 24 Parganas. Ms Kim Prodinger was with her team of 16 and were touched by the lives of the Children and the Intervention Programs implemented by KMWSC. The boys were fabulous and interacted with the children and parents, played with them, sang songs with actions. It was indeed a meaningful time of togetherness and to witness the real work in 15 brick kilns at Basirhat for the migrant children who are rarely noticed or recognized by the government and stakeholders. Their existence in the brick kilns is denied. They are special category of children and do require care and protection like other children in need of care and protection. KMWSC thanks Kim and her boys for taking time and visiting the Projects especially the BFSP for which they do fund raising in the college. KMWSC is grateful and thankful for your contribution in our endeavors in reaching out to the migrant children’s well being.
