On 16 December 2025, a Sanitary Pad ATM was inaugurated at Motijheel under the Landing Pad Project, marking a significant step towards ensuring menstrual dignity and health for women and adolescent girls from economically marginalised communities. The initiative aims to make sanitary napkins easily accessible, affordable, and available in a dignified manner, addressing a critical yet often overlooked need.
The installation of the Sanitary Pad ATM is more than a facility – it is a statement of inclusion and equity. By placing menstrual hygiene essentials within easy reach, the initiative seeks to reduce dependence, embarrassment, and barriers that many women and girls face while managing their periods. Alongside access, the project also emphasizes the importance of safe and hygienic menstrual practices, encouraging informed choices and healthier lives.
This intervention contributes to breaking long-standing taboos surrounding menstruation and opens space for conversations around menstrual health management at the community level. By normalising access to sanitary products, the Landing Pad Project reinforces the idea that menstrual health is a right, not a privilege.
The inauguration at Motijheel reflects KMWSC’s continued commitment to promoting health, dignity, and gender justice at the grassroots, ensuring that no woman or girl is left behind due to lack of resources or awareness.
“Dignity begins with access – because menstrual health is a right.”
