The concluding day of Child Rights Week was celebrated with great enthusiasm and community participation at Dulki village in Sundarban under the Lotus Child Project. The day began with the meaningful tradition of “Sishu Boron”, symbolically welcoming children and affirming their rights, dignity, and place within the community. A short speech followed, highlighting the importance of Child Rights Week and reminding everyone of the shared responsibility to protect and nurture every child.
The event witnessed the presence of invited guests who were warmly felicitated in recognition of their continued support. A special moment was the award ceremony, where trophies were handed over to the winning teams of the recently held cricket and football matches, celebrating sportsmanship and teamwork among the children.
Adding vibrancy to the celebration, the children performed energetic dance routines and presented a powerful dance drama that conveyed strong messages on child protection and empowerment. Their performances reflected confidence, creativity, and the impact of ongoing engagement under the project.
The final day of Child Rights Week at Dulki not only celebrated children but also strengthened community commitment to upholding their rights and ensuring a safe, nurturing environment for every child.
