Kolkata Mary Ward Social Centre under the banner of “Sensitization on anti-human trafficking project” organised a District level consultation on “Social re-integration of survivors of human trafficking” at ICMARD Kolkata on 22.12.2016.
Mr. Supriya Sarkar Asst. Director Child rights and trafficking inaugurated the programme and emphasising on the rights of children especially the trafficking survivors. He requested all NGO’s to enlist their Organizations’ name in West Task Force to stop human trafficking.The programme was also attended by the representatives from West Bengal Commission for Protection of Child rights along with community based organizations , Gram Panchayat and members of community vigilance committee.
The programme was followed by a panel discussion which was on the rights of trafficking survivors and ways to mainstream them in the society.The panel was chaired by Ms.Nabina Banerjee from Save the Children,Ms.Supriya Bhakat Aftercare and probation officer of South 24 Parganas District,Mr.Subir Roy,Senior Programme Manager CINI, and Mr.Kalyan Mitra from Jayaprakash Institute of Social Chang.
