Children’s Day Celebration at Canning Womens Police Station

Loreto- Kolkata Mary Ward Social Centre : Anti - Human Trafficking Project (Phase VI) .

Childrens Day was celebrated in partnership at the Canning Women Police Station. The Program was child friendly and had a lot of fun added to it .The Program was graced by the Director of KMWSC Sr Monica Suchiang who said " Children are not only the future of our nation but also the present ". Therefore we need to secure the present generation of children from all dangers and unwanted consequences . She commended the Canning Police both Women and General Police Station for their relentless effort for securing the children in their areas . The Program brought the 10 Gram Panchayat area children in close proximity with the police who were also actively participating in the events through songs , dance , poetry and games . Under the Gram Panchayats from Matla 1, Matla 2 , Dighirpar , Goplapur , Itkhola , Nikarighata , Taldi , Daria Hatpukuria and Bansra 100 Children came from these villages along with their escorts . The Police and the Children mingled freely , the canning Women Officer In Charge Smt. Munmun Chowdhury gave a short speech . The Children said never have they experienced such interactions with the Police on a Children's Day ever. We are thankful to the district administration , the police ,and the village community members for all their continued support for making the Children's Day Event meaningful .
