Community Health Camp for the Needy: Standing Beside Those Who Need It Most
30 Oct 2025
10.30am
New Alipore, Kolkata
A free health check-up camp was organised under the Kolkata Slums Project at New Alipore on 30th November 2025, aiming to safeguard the health of community members and protect them from seasonal diseases. The camp served as a vital outreach initiative, ensuring that healthcare reached those who often have limited access to medical facilities.
The event saw the participation of numerous men, women, and children from the local slum community who received medical consultation and prescribed medicines free of cost. Conducted by qualified healthcare professionals, the camp emphasised preventive care, helping community members understand the importance of early diagnosis and healthy lifestyle practices.
Alongside the check-up, awareness sessions were conducted on personal hygiene, sanitation, and nutrition, empowering residents with knowledge to protect themselves and their families from common ailments. The initiative reaffirmed KMWSC’s commitment to improving the quality of life for the most vulnerable sections of society.
Through such healthcare interventions, the project continues to bridge the gap between medical support and marginalised communities, promoting wellness, dignity, and compassion.
“Healthy communities build hopeful futures — together, we care, protect, and empower.”
