A positive attitude led to positive outcomes-Embrace Change

Reshma kumari a 11 year old girl migrated to Kulpi brick field along with her parents in the year 2014.She was attending brick field school during session year 2014-15.After completing the BFS session she went back to her native village at Nawada.During our intervention at Nawada we were able to identify Reshma in her village. We came to know that reshma had left school due to family problem. We tried to convince her parents to get her admitted in school. We were successful in our efforts and finally with her parents consent we admitted her in Kasturba Gandhi Residential Home in Class VI.After few months we did a follow visit & found massive changes in reshma. She is performing well in class now and enjoying with her friends. She is also getting access to the government facilities. Her parents are regularly meeting her in residential school. The residential school has brought ray of hope not only in her life but also in the life of her parents. She shared that from now onwards she will continue with her studies in the residential home until she becomes 15 years old.Reshma truly has set a example for other brickfield children.
