On 13th August 2025, the Landing PAD Project team organised a mass awareness programme at Kamarhati focusing on menstrual hygiene management, safe practices, and breaking the taboos surrounding menstruation. The event brought together community members, particularly vulnerable women and adolescent girls, for an open and interactive dialogue on a subject often shrouded in silence.
The session included demonstrations on proper usage and disposal of sanitary pads, discussions on the importance of menstrual health for overall well-being, and strategies to address myths and misconceptions. To make menstrual products more accessible, a Pad ATM was officially inaugurated on the occasion — a step towards ensuring dignity, convenience, and uninterrupted hygiene for beneficiaries.
The event also included the free distribution of sanitary pads to participants, reinforcing the project’s commitment to both awareness and accessibility. The presence of representatives from the CESC CSR team, our valued partner in the Kiran Project, added significance to the programme, reflecting the spirit of collaboration in community welfare initiatives.
Through such initiatives, the Landing PAD Project continues to empower women and girls with the knowledge, resources, and confidence to manage their menstrual health with dignity. The Pad ATM is expected to serve as a sustainable solution for ensuring that no woman or girl in the community is forced to compromise her health due to lack of access to sanitary products.
“Empowering women, one cycle at a time — because dignity should never be a luxury.”
