Building Climate Resilience through Stakeholder Dialogue

Kolkata Mary Ward Social Centre (KMWSC), under the Climate Action and Biodiversity Project, conducted a vital networking and advocacy meeting on 24th June 2025 with stakeholders of the Bipradaspur Gram Panchayat in Gosaba, located in the fragile ecological zone of the Sundarbans.
 
The meeting brought together key local stakeholders to deliberate on pressing climate-related challenges affecting the region and to strategize for long-term ecological sustainability and biodiversity preservation. Discussions were focused on community participation in climate action, mitigation of climate vulnerabilities, and ensuring inclusive development that respects both human and environmental needs.
 
Such engagements not only strengthen grassroots governance but also empower communities to become active participants in safeguarding their own ecosystems. The CAB project continues to foster these partnerships as part of its long-term vision for climate justice in the Sundarbans.
